Translation is the process of transferring a text from one language to another while maintaining the original message and communication. Semantix also offer more creative language services to ensure the right tone of voice, especially relevant for marketing material.

The following are some of the services most frequently used.

  • Standard translation
Your text is translated and checked by a professional translator, specialising in your field of business.
  • Premium translation
The translation is proofread and checked by an extra set of professional eyes.
  • Copy adaptation
Translation including adapting the text to the local market’s target audience and culture, rather than a verbatim rendering of the source text.
  • Review
A reviewer looks at the content of the text to ensure that it is correct and appropriate for the agreed purpose. This could include a review of text written by a non-native language author.
  • Proofreading
Proofreading ensures that spelling and punctuation is correct, without losing the meaning of your communication.

Language specialists

Semantix has a number of language specialists for translation, review and other linguistic services, covering various specializations and language combinations. One would typically use a different translator for legal contents than for more creative marketing material.

When you receive high quality translations, please inform Semantix so they can set the translators to preferred for Dun & Bradstreet, to ensure continued high quality.

If you already work with a translator you are happy with, you can also ask to have them incorporated in Semantix’ system for Dun & Bradstreet, provided they meet their basic requirements.

Basic requirements include translation education qualifications, or other higher education and at least two years of documented translation experience, or at least five years of documented translation experience.

Feedback on delivered translations

One of the key objectives of our quality management is to maintain customer satisfaction. If you have any feedback, please don’t hesitate to share this with Semantix as soon as possible to make any needed adjustments. Any changes to a target text will be incorporated into the translation memory for future reference.

Through continuous feedback and dialogue, we achieve refined and improved results.

Translation memory

All translated texts are stored in a Dun & Bradstreet owned translation memory. The tool recognises repetitions or text that has previously been translated and can be reused at no extra charge.

Style Guide and how to use it

A style guide has been produced in collaboration with Semantix. This is a good source of reference for linguists when it comes to style and tone of voice depending on target group.

The purpose of this style guide is to describe the way in which Dun & Bradstreet communicates. It contributes to ensuring consistency in the communication, making sure that it reflects the desired corporate style and making it easily recognisable by recipients.

About Semantix

With a history of growth and innovation, we now lead the way in language technology.

To satisfy the need of language services – primarily translation and interpreting – within the Swedish industry, Semantix was founded in 1969.

Semantix as a brand was created in connection with a change in ownership in 2006 and through a merger of several companies and brands. This enabled us to meet our customers' needs for both a broad and specialised range of language services. Since 2006, Semantix has made a number of mergers and acquisitions with the aim of growing the business and continuously broadening the service offer.

In 2021, Semantix merged with TransPerfect, the world’s largest provider of language and technology solutions for global business. Semantix operates as a division within the TransPerfect family of companies.
