RBC has issued the following goals for the RFP, and the below outlines the vision for how TransPerfect sees the partnership & collaboration with RBC evolve to meet those goals.

Our Vision

  • A holistic approach where TransPerfect acts as RBC’s outsourced localization department with dedicate points of contacts and specialized linguists
  • Centralize all TMs, MT engines, and Vendors through TransPerfect’s technology suite GlobalLink to increase quality, consistency, and turnaround times
  • Reduce costs and time spent by RBC employees on project management by leveraging automated workflows through GlobalLink
  • Provide consulting from our AI team on how to optimize turnaround times where applicable through introducing MT workflows
  • Guide RBC as industry leaders on how to leverage the best technology and AI solutions
  • Ensure company-wide visibility through detailed reporting and KPIs on quality and savings
Governance Framework
  • Put in place a KPI framework
  • SLA per content or business line priority
  • Communication framework between users, BI’s, and vendors
  • Establish regular strategic and operational reviews monthly or quarterly with clear goals & measurements
Global Quality Program
  • Dedicated quality leads (Brand Champions) for French Canadian markets specifically
  • Establish and track quality KPIs
  • Local Market (Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver) account management and 24/7 global coverage for after hour requests
  • Linguist on-boarding & evaluation for RBC’s dedicated team
Cost Optimization Roadmap
  • Optimize the use of our GlobalLink technology to centralize TMs across all RBC vendors
  • Our AI team to consult RBC on introducing MT workflows to drive costs down and speed up turnaround times
  • Streamline localization management on RBC side to reduced number of hours spent internally on translations
Process Automation & Efficiencies
  • Automate and/or eliminate non added value tasks with the help of our AI and technology team members
  • Centralize and automate RBC’s TM’s through GlobalLink Enterprise
  • Utilize GlobalLink Now and RBC’s internal MT engine for certain content types to reduce costs and turnaround times
  • Introduce Gen AI and other AI solutions such as GlobalLink scribe to speed up workflows
Technology
  • Implement GlobalLink Enterprise (Translation Management System) to centralize and manage all localization projects regardless of vendor
  • GlobalLink Enterprise will reduce time-to-market, remove manual tasks, and ensure consistency and quality across all projects and vendors with one centralized TM
  • Introduce a suite of technology tools such as our connectors into your CMS, CRM, etc. that prioritize language quality and automation at the forefront.
  • Guide RBC on their AI strategy with the help of our AI consulting team
